METSTRADE 2017, Amsterdam, 14 to 16 November, Superyacht Pavilion Stand 11.400
The new FLIR M232 marine thermal night vision camera has received a DAME Design Award Special Mention accolade in the ‘Marine Electronics and Marine Related Software’ category at this year’s METSTRADE.
Launched in February of this year, the M232 belongs to the FLIR M100 and M200 series and is FLIR’s smallest and most affordable pan and tilt marine thermal night vision camera. Using FLIR’s latest generation Boson™ thermal core, the M232 lets boaters see at night in 320 x 240 thermal resolution and features 4x digital zoom. The ground-breaking M232 also offers full pan and tilt for viewing 360 degrees in both vertical and horizontal planes.
“We are honoured to be recognised by the Dame Design award jury” said Grégoire Outters, Vice President and General Manager of FLIR Maritime. “With its compact size, attractive price and advanced thermal analytics technology the M232 brings the safety benefits of FLIR thermal night vision technology to a wider range of boaters.”
The M232 is easy to install and a simple Ethernet connection allows the camera to network with multiple compatible MFDs. When connected with Raymarine’s Axiom MFDs the M232 lets Raymarine owners to take advantage of FLIR's new ClearCruise™ intelligent thermal analytics technology. ClearCruise brings boaters an advanced level of awareness and safety by visually and audibly alerting the operator when "non-water" objects such as boats, obstacles, or navigation markers are identified in the scene.
Retailing at €3495 / $2499 US , the FLIR M232 is available now through FLIR’s network of FLIR Maritime and Raymarine and dealers.
